  1. For Team Building, last year my school had Monday mornings set aside for class meetings, and they gave us different activities.

  2. For transitions, when I taught Pre-K I used music to signal different transition times.

  3. For team building we do different activities where the children have to work cooperatively in a group of 4-5 to solve or perform certain tasks. We work on getting everyone to participate and work together. It takes a lot of modeling and practice!

  4. For transitions I just verbally tell them that we are switching to something else. I usually give 10 and 5 minute warnings to finish up whatever they are working on. For team building we talk a lot about how we want others to treat us and bullying.

  5. Transitions-I usually say "Superheroes away" and they fly to their desks or the carpet, etc. Team building-I am going to have them do an activity using pipe cleaners that I saw on pinterest.

  7. I use a visual timer so that my students know how much time is left before the next activity. For some students I also use a visual mini-schedule.
